Q: How long does the franchisee approval process take? 
A: Depending on a number of variables, including site availability, the process of becoming a franchisee can take three to six months.

Q: What is the length of the franchise agreement?
A: The initial term of a typical Pollo Campero® franchise agreement is 20 years.

Q: Where can I find information on the franchisor's financial statements (i.e., copy of the Franchise Agreement, list of fees, royalties, initial franchise fees, etc.)?
A: These items are all included in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).


Q: What are the current qualifications for franchising Pollo Campero?

Dollars & Fees

Q: What is the franchise fee?
A: $40,000 for a single restaurant.

Q: What is the franchise ongoing royalty fee?
A: The franchising royalty is 5% of gross sales.

Q: What are your advertising fees?
A: 5% of gross sales. 

Q: How much profit can I expect to make?
A: Our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) discusses sales ranges and various operating costs you can anticipate as a Pollo Campero® franchisee. Your particular success will be based on a number of variables including location, operating expenses, retail sales mix, sales margins, occupancy costs, financing costs, and other factors. 

Q: Does Pollo Campero® offer financing as part of the franchising process?
A: At this time, we do not. You may pursue financing options through third parties.

Q: How much will it cost to develop a Pollo Campero Restaurant?
A: Your initial investment for a new Store depends upon the type of unit you commit to develop, as well as: (1) the number of Stores you acquire; (2) their size; (3) their configuration; (4) their location; (5) who develops the real estate for and/or constructs them; and (6) the amount and terms of financing. The initial funds required must be estimated since most costs are not within our control and may change at frequent intervals. These figures are estimates only and we cannot and do not guarantee that your costs will fall within the stated ranges of $312,421 to $1,652,500, not including real estate.

Support, Staff and Staffing

Q: Do I need to work in my stores on a daily basis?
A: No. However, each restaurant must have a full-time operating partner. We're talking about a qualified General Manager who has passed our certification requirements on the premises at all times. You should, in addition, be prepared to manage and control your business on a daily basis.
